Been Working Hard On The Site

Hi all. I'm sorry it's been a while since I've posted anything here, but we have been so busy with our main site.
We recently took a marketing course, and since then it's been mad around here.
The changes to the site have been fundamental to say the least. It has changed from an ok site to an exultant site. Yes, this is me blowing our own trumpet, but I don't care.

St George, is the patron saint of England and for those of you that didn't know it,today is the 23rd of April, St George's Day.
We as Englishmen, spend more time celebrating St Patrick,s Day, than we do in Celebrating our own national day.
On a walk around town today, I'm sad to say I didn't see one red rose.(Your supposed to wear one in your lapel)
In today's England, we are told we live in a multi cultural society. But we seam to have forgotten our own culture.

Get My Nose Back To The Grind Stone

Thank God for that. They have all gone back to school and college. Piece and quiet, so know my good lady and I can get ourselves back to work again. It's been hard to get anything constructive done in the last two weeks, with all 6 of our boys rampaging about the place.
We love them all dearly, but when we try to work, the sound goes from Decibels to Richter, it makes work a little difficult. I began to think about the time before kids, and then the time after kids. "What would I be doing now, if I didn't have the lads." The answer was, toasting my fat ass on a tropical beach somewhere. Or sitting along side my tent in the Lake District.
This is where the idea came from for our new site, Great Trekking. If you want to chill in the Tropics, or take the kids to the Sea Side for the day, we'll do our best to find good advice and articles. So stay tuned.

A Game For The Whole Family

After working all day on my computer, clicking away. At about 4pm we are inundated with the kids, and what they have done at school. With questions about the Roman empire, or some maths problem, they just don't get.
So that generally means it's time to stop work and start to be a parent again. It's quite difficult, having a whole house full of cleaver gitts. If they ask a question and you don't have the solution at hand, they go on and on, until you have the correct answer.
When Kim and I first got together, the lads noticed my chess board and asked for a game. This I thought was my chance to show my superiority, and I gladly said yes. To my suprise, they all gave me a good game.

What Is Wrong With Those Kids.

As I listen to the news today. I yet again, find myself listening to a story about two young lads that have been attacked, and very nearly killed. Not as you might think, by an adult, but by two other young lads. They were beaten and stabbed, almost to death.
WHY? Myself I blame society and the parents. There is absolutely no excuse at all, for this type of behavior.
First of all we must make parents responsible for there kids. Secondly the kids need to learn that there are consequences for there actions. By that I mean punishment. Hard punishment.
There are ferrell youngsters running riot all over the place. They don't give a damn about the other people that share there community. Around the area in which I live, it feels as if we are under siege from gangs of rampaging young people.
I don't mind people having fun, but I do mind if that fun hurts other people.
The parents of these kids know what is going on, but provided it dosn't affect them they don't care. So bring it home to them. If your kids are committing anti social acts, YOU should be held accountable.

Since I first started my new site, http://www.worldhistorynet.com. I have found that I didn't know as much as I thought I did. For me this is great, because I can look even deeper, to find the truth about our origins.
I have asked the question, when were the lights switched on? By that I mean, when did we start to think? It's a very interesting question, but very difficult to answer.
So far I have got a number of answers, from 75000 years in south Africa, and 200000 years ago in Europe.
What they are looking for, is art or jewelery. In Africa they have found a piece of stone with a design scratched on to it. That stone was in a layer which was dated to 75000 years old. Meanwhile in Europe, we have found sea shells that have holes drilled into them. Those shells have been dated to 200000 years old.
The debate continues.

I'm Sick Of Politicians.

As I go through my day, I listen to the news while I work. I know that today is April fools day. But for gods sake.
Once again our politicians are at it. Just last week we find that they have been ripping us off, with there expenses. I mean, does Jackie Smith not give her old man any? So he has to watch porn in a hotel! And then we have to foot the bill.
Now, to add insult to injury I find that those people (MP's) have given themselves a nice big inflation busting pay rise.
As the rest of the world struggles with this recession, the people that caused all the problems ie the bankers, are rewarding themselves with massive bonuses, and our politicians are ripping us off at every chance they get. We the common people have to keep paying for there hypocrocy.
To me, the whole lot of them need a right kick up there parlementry seats. They need to realise it's us, (the common men and woman) that put you in that place, to look after our intrests. If you keep on looking after your own intrests you wont be there for much longer.

When I looked back at the blogs that I have written over the last month or so, I realised that I had not realy told you what makes me happy. So here we go.

We live in a realy nice part of the UK in Nottinghamshire. We have Sherwood forest on our doorstep, and I take great pleasure in tramping all over the place with my dog. On any given morning you can see us walking about the forest and just enjoying the peace of the place.
Then there is my most favorite place in the world, The Lake District. We go there whenever we can. And all Ican say about that is, it's well worth the 3 hour drive. We pitch our tent, fire up the barby and chill. We can't wait to move there permanently.
And that brings me to on line marketing. And strange as it sounds that too makes me happy.

When Kim and I first started Bits4Babies.com, we had quite a few problems trying to get my family to understand it was a buisness. (And still do.)
The problem is, all of my family are big, strong men. The only type of work they have ever done is hard manual work. When you take into account that they have all worked in a coal mine or are machanics, you can see where they are coming from.
It did start to get on my nerves a little when they made fun of me when I told them Iwas going to start online marketing. "That's not real work" was one comment that I got from my old feller.
Well, I'm going to let you all into a little secret. Over the last week, Kim and I have made some radical changes to the way we work and layout our sites. And its starting to pay off. We have so-far earned more in one week, than we did last month.
So all you doubters out there, that think you need a shovel in your hands to say you work.
I work and I feed my family at the click of a mouse. So go and boil your heads.

Things That Annoy Me

In Britan today there is a system in place, that is supposed to help people in need. Its called the benefits system. All I can say is its not working.

There are people that have never lifted a finger, and are able to claim vast amounts of money. For instance, they get there rent, counsil tax and cash in there hands every week, for sitting at home. There are also people claiming incapacity benefits when there is nothing wrong with them. These people can get free cars free, road tax and a host of other hand-outs.

All over the UK there are housing estates full of these people. They have become a whole sub-culture, that are born, grown up and then die, without ever having contributed to the society that fed and clothed them.

Speaking to one of these people latley, he told me he would not get out of bed in the morning for less than £500 a week, because that is what he got when you put together all of his benefits.
The question is can you blame them.

Well yes. Where is there pride? They should be ashamed of themselves! The people that put the system in place are dying of cold, because they cannot afford to put there heating on in winter.

I'm talking about the men and women that stood up to defend this great land all those years ago, that are now being pushed to one side and left to rot.

The government needs to stop these low life leeches taking the whole country for a ride. Come in to the real world Mr Brown, not everybody wants to work. You are going to have to make these people earn there keep. Get them doing community work for there benefits.

Today I would like to talk about something that is bugging the hell out of me. It's the young people that are rampaging about, abusing the elderley, and quite simply making everyones lives difficult.
The British government introduced a thing called an asbo ( anti social behaviour order), and what a load of poo that was. The people that got them, framed them and put them on the walls for all to see, like a badge of honour.
The police are rushed of there feet, trying to keep them under control, but the louts know the police are completely powerless to do anything but move them on.
I blame firstly the parents of these kids. They know whats going on but it's easier to just let them go out, and turn a blind eye. When you confront them they even lie, and tell you that there son or daughter has not been out. I've even heard of parents throwing the police out of there homes when confronted with there childs bad behavior.
So this leads me to the next lot I blame. The people that make the laws. They are totaly out of touch with the real world. They don't have to bother about being taunted in the street or mugged because they are sheltered from all of that.
It says a lot when a high court judge didn't know what trainers were, when judging a man accused of stealing a lorry load of them.
I say, boot camps and corporal punishment is whats needed and sod the liberal minded idiots living in coocoo land. We all have a right to life and a right to live it in peace.

Here are a few tips for all you people that are thinking of trying to make your living on line.
Always believe in yourselves, and don't let other people try to bring you down. ie, "Thats not real work." Or. "Thats crap. You only made $5 today."
If you are making $5 a day, that means people are finding your sites and blogs. What you have to do is try to make it easier for them to find you.
When you start, you must look for a topic that brings in lots of traffic, and build your site with lots of intresting content. And thats where your work begins.....
So have fun and go for it.

As soon as Kim and I decided to make our living online, we began to look at online marketing case studies. Wow...... time and again we read about people making loads of money for doing next to nothing.

Well, we now have been at this for 3 years, and it's been a real roller coaster ride.
If you are thinking about working online, beware of people that promise you great marketing concepts, and then try to get you to buy a program that they have written.

All I can say is, build your sites, write your blogs and beleve in yourselves.

Can I Find My Uncle

In 1943 my mother was in hospital with scarlet fever, when my grand father came to visit her.(He was on leave).

My grand parents had been divorced a few years earlier, and he had come to introduce his new wife and baby son to my mother. She can't recall much of that last visit, because of her illness, and her age (she was 6) but still recalls her baby brother. My grand father was killed about 6 weeks later, while serving in the Ukraine.

I have tried to find my uncle but I don't have a first name for him, all I know is my grandfathers surname which was Freitag. The records for this time in Germany are not very good at all because of the war. We didn't even know he had been killed until about 5 years ago

So if anyone can give me some advice Ill would be very greatful.

After working out how to turn the thing on, I found out that my 7 year old son knew more about my computer than I did. And that was where my good lady came to my rescue. She began to tutor me in the ways of the world wide web.
At first it was quite strange, I had to learn that a url was not some russian secret weapon, and when she mentioned Google bot I thought of terminator. So as you can imagine, she had her work cut out for her.

After finding myself alone with two small kids, and losing my job at the car factory. I began to look for a new line of work. Something that I could work around the kids and school. And we all know how hard that can be.
Well, after meeting my new partner, (who worked online) I decided to give that a go. So off to PC world we went. I began to look at computers that looked good, but she said they were not what we needed. Then a member of staff came over and he and my girl friend began to speak in another language.
What the hell does RAM mean or dual core? I didn't know that you got your very own reactor with it!!!
Well anyway I got my first computer, and I began to have a go.

Auto Bottle Warmer

As a parent of small children I found using an auto bottle warmer was great for those days out or those long trips. All we had to do, was plug it straight in to the cigarette lighter and my son had a warm bottle to drink.

A few years ago it became law in the UK that all children under 4 feet (122cm) must have an auto booster seat. The reason for this is apparent when you sit your small child in your car without one. The seat belt fits snuggly around his or her throat, and in the event of an accident your child can receive some very nasty injuries to that area.

A booster seat can cost you as little as £10 ($15us) witch in comparison to the safety of your kids is absolutely nothing.

What the hell is wrong with these people.? They run and hide, they dont return phone calls, they even change there phone numbers. WHY?

Over the years I have learned that they have a number of excuses, from not wanting to pay child support, to the distance between the child and themselves. Well let me tell you all, its all bull shit.

I have spoken to one person that moved home every 6 months to avoid paying child support and hadn't seen his kids for over 10 years. When I asked him "What about your kids." He laughed and told me that they could find him when they were 18.
And it's not only men that are like that. I have known of women that are just as bad, if not worse.

Well I'm sick of this, all they are doing is hurting there kids. Whats wrong with putting yourself out once or twice a month, to come and see your kids. And if you dont want to help support your kids, take them out and get them some new school shoes, so that your ex doesn't get there hands on your hard won money.

So all you people who stay away from your kids because, you hate your ex or your ex hates you and makes it difficult when you see them. THERE IS NO EXCUSE, YOUR KIDS NEED YOU.

You helped to make them, so you should be there for them.

Why Not Just Be A Parent

As a new blogger, I have been surfing other people's blogs, and what I found has disturbed me a little. All I found was parents pushing there religion, color, race or beliefs down there childrens' throats. I believe that if somebody gives you a gift, you don't look at the wrapping paper, you find what's inside and enjoy it.

As a foster parent I cared for white babies, black babies, brown babies, hindu, muslim and christian babies. And they all were the same. They all wanted love and cuddles.

It's up to us as parents to point our children in the right direction and yes I agree with that, but what is wrong with letting our kids find themselves and not push our beliefs about race, color or religion on to them.

Please stop this nonsence about christian mom, black mom, ecofriendly mom.

Dating And The Single Dad

First of all let me tell you that I'm no misogynist, I do like and respect most women. There now thats out of the way I can tell you about some of the problems that I have encountered in finding one that would stick around after they found that I had kids living with me.

It is generally accepted that a man will take on and bring up his new wife or partners children, and I say thats the way it should be. But for some strange reason, it is very difficult to find a woman that is prepared to take on another womans children.

Time after time I would meet a woman and things would be going great until they found that my boys lived with me, and thats where they made there excusess and left.

Now, Im not to bad to look at, and I have got a good sence of humor! So, I asked a good lady friend what the hell was wrong. She told me that women do not take well to other womens' children, I was gobsmacked. I could not believe what I was hearing, so I asked one of the ladies that I had taken out, she told me the truth, and it was my kids that sent her running.

This is a sad state of affairs and a bad case of double standards, all I can say is you dont know what your missing.

The Problem With Being A Single Dad

About six years ago I was droped into the world of single parents. And what a bloody shock that was. I can cook, I can keep the house clean, and I can even do a pretty good job of bringing up my two boys.

The problem was, peoples attitudes towards a man bringing up children on his own. It wasn't my brothers, or mates, it was women.
Constantly my children were watched for signs of dirt or scruffyness. Week in week out, I had to put up with inspections from my mother who thought I may not be able to cope. Even my sisters in laws wouldn't leave us alone, with constant checking up on my lads and my ability to care for them.

Well let me tell you all, I may be a big bloke, but I do a lot better than a lot of single mums I know, I dont claim benefits and I work from home. When it comes to looking after kids, I have been a registered child minder, a foster parent, an adoptive parent and I have two home made kids. All I can say in conclusion is, it doesn't matter if your sex organs are on the inside or outside, as long as you love your kids and let them know that.
